I’m a 30-year-old UK filmmaker who’s been hooked on creating since I could hold a pencil (or a camera). I studied practical filmmaking at uni, walked away with a 1st class honours, and thought I’d cracked it.

 

But real life hit different: I was still the guy fumbling with paint, strumming a guitar, or sketching cracked circles, half-lost but all in. Now, I work with Alexios, the best person I've ever worked with, at a video production company (Gumbudii) obsessed with short-form video.

That mix of training and chaos showed me a gap: so many indie creators like us have the fire but not the roadmap. That’s why Separate Creative exists.

This is for every indie maker out there... passionate, driven, but often figuring it out without a degree or guide. I’m still experimenting, still learning. Uni gave me a start, but the real stuff comes from doing. I’m sharing practical video tutorials and guides to fill that skills gap, useful tools we can actually use, and building a network of creators trading insights.
